    That is pretty funny:)

But seriously, the error in using this arguement to refute the possibilty of a “Gay gene” is that most gays claim that being gay is not a choice, but somehting they were born with. (which does imply some genetic causation). However, I have never heard a Christian claim that being Christian is something they were born with… rather it is usually due to family influence, or else a choice in later life…

I know that almost every day of my life I feel the urge, no, the need to choke the holy (pun intended) living shit out of some jerkwad, therefore I must have the violence gene. Oh wait, I walk upright and can make conscious decisions, so I guess I’ll stay out of prison today.. So much for any gene being an excuse to be what you are. How about if you’re gay or Christian you just decide to be?

This is a comedy program from Australia so don’t get too worked up about it.

However, the possibility of a gene or set of genes that create a tendency for spirituality is not unlikely.

Whole lot of religious bigotry going on here against Christians. If there actually WERE a genetic predispostion to Christianity, how would that differ from justifying homosexuality for the same reason?

If I have to explain satire to you it’s not longer satire.
