   please define “full of”….of course there are racists people in the tea party movement, just as it is obvious there are racists within the NAACP(as recent events have shown), the democrat party(the late Sen Byrd for one), etc.

   The fact that some members of a movement may be racists is not meaningful in the discussion about the merits of the ideas that the movement puts forth…if your only argument against smaller, limited government is that some people who agree with those ideas are racists, well I have to say you have already lost

   Thanks so much James. This post wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of right-wing hypocrisy weighing in about how the Tea Party isn’t a bunch of racists.

   Bottom line dude, none of these babies were bitching about the deficit or George W Bush’s large expansion of the Federal Government before the black guy got elected.

   Acyually a lot of them were…but the intensity grew when “the black guy” turn up the intensity of the spending. Actually, I blame Nacy Pelosi and Harry Reid much more than Obama for what has been happening..does that mean hate white people? Or maybe I hate old people?

   (note, if he wasn’t black but still a democrat, they would still be bitching..and I firmly believe that most would be bitching if it was John McCain pulling us into an abyss of debt)

   James, the arguement against smaller government is simply this: it is now the 21st century. No matter how much you want it to be, it cannot be the 18th century ever again. The government of 1776 or 1825 cannot work today. We have learned too much and the world is a different place. You cannot undo history. Once you know how pandemics work, you have to have a CDC. Once you know that certain chemicals are pollutants and cause cancer, you have to have an EPA. Once you know we can split an atom, you have to have a nuclear regulatory agency. Once you can get to the moon, you have to bump the Coast Guard up to NASA. Most especially, once you have elected to play the empire game and be a leading global power, you have to expand your military, intelligence, and diplomatic efforts exponentially. FYI, we spend more on one fighter jet than we do for all civil rights programs combined in the U.S. We are fighting isolationism, not racism, and it shows. And, laissez faire economics is sooooo 19th century.

   The only reason TeaBag Parties have less racist signs of late is because they’ve been scrubbed from protest areas since racist allegations about the TeaParty became more widespread. The only reason you “blame Nacy Pelosi and Harry Reid much more than Obama” is because Fox News and right-wing radio tells you to. You’ve got no brain. Fuck off.
