So apparently, 20-some years ago Pam Tebow shat out a kid against the advice of her doctors who’s now her Heisman trophy winning meal ticket. Woop-dee-fucking-do. The decision of whether or not to keep a child is still very personal and none of anybody else’s goddamn business. And seriously, fuck you CBS for carrying this advocacy ad. I’d boycott your network except that you haven’t had a show on that I’ve watched since…ever.
So during his break Lefty did a lot of things. One of these things was moving my money out of BofA to another smaller bank. If you’re unhappy with the help that the “too big to fail” banks got then do your part to make them a little smaller.
Here’s the video that started it all
I know that changing banks is a pain in the ass, but the deal is that it’s a way to walk the talk. If you are truly unhappy with the status quo then do something. If money’s a bit tight then consider using your tax refund as seed money for the new account while you make the transition.
Because Actually Putting Politicians On The Payroll Is A Little Too Obvious
Lefty’s version of this idiocy is this. Corporations are not people. How dumb is it to give them all of the rights of personhood with virtually none of the responsibilities? Their very existence is to make as much money as possible. They have no altruistic purpose, unless it just happens to make them money. So why is the world should they be given the ear of our politicians. How in the world can normal people expect to compete with armies of lobbyists and wheelbarrows of money that will inevitably be thrown to the politicians. Thom Hartmann is a bit more eloquent than Lefty and so is John Dean, but then they probably spent more time writing their articles than I did.
This is one of the dumbest Supreme Court decisions ever…so far. And considering that includes giving the Presidency to the shithead in 2000 that’s saying something.
